Hotel grohmann 3* - Campitello di Fassa/ Italy

I've stayed in this 3* hotel for 1 night . The hotel is situated at walking distance (200m) to the gondola which brings you directly to the top of the ski area.
Vieuw and distance to the skilift from room

Closeby there is a supermarket, ski rental, pharmacy,... So the hotel is at 5 min walk from the romantic small streets of Campitello.

The ski area of campitello is rather small, but due to the connection with all other ski area's and accessable with 1 skipass 'dolomiti superski' which is also famous as 'Sella ronda', it belongs to the largest ski area of Italy with 500km of slopes.
(You can really ski around from one ski area to another, all is connected to have a tour for about 6 hours).

The hotel is a traditional hotel. Not really my style (i appreciate traditional, but this is really old with flowers everywhere in the print of the carpet, bathroomtiles, curtains,...), as it would need a refurbishment into my opinion.

I stayed in this hotel just for 1 night alone in a family room.

Room

The room is rather small if it is supposed to be occupied with 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids should defintely be younger than 10y, as the bunkbeds are very small.
The furniture in the room is new and woudt (but during the renovation they did not replace the old tv, telephone, ...). But the room is clean and the floor in the room is wood.
All rooms have twin beds (that can be made up as a double if resuested) from 180*80 cm. The bunk beds are only for children ( 180 cm * 80 cm). There is a large wardrobe in the hall which is practical for a ski holiday.

Bathroom:

The bathroom is rather small and had not yet been renovated. There is a bath with shower (shower with good pressure, it's a pitty it is not installed at the end of the bath, but in the middle...). The toilet is in the bathroom and there is also a 'bidet' (dont know how to translate this). The soap provided is not the highest quality and the towels are plenty but rather hard, but hey it is a 3* hotel.
The hairdryer is not worth mentioning. I can blow even harder 😃. So ladies (&gents) take your own.

The restaurant:
The restaurant is not that big and this is good for the atmosphere. They serve several courses per night which you can chose in the morning.
Diner was of a good quality and is a regular European kitchen. Good quality food, but not haute cuisine (which you don't expect for this price).
Breakfast is served as a buffet. There is 4 kinds of croissants, different marmelades, bread, chocopasta, yoghurt (2 kinds), scrambled eggs, sausages, cornflakes and juice from a dispenser. Also hot chocolat and coffee from the machine.

Wellness:
There is a small wellness area with sauna/steambath and whirlpool. Also a relaxing area which is direct next to the facilities. The area itself is not really zen (had a cellar impression), but it's nice to have a sauna in a 3* hotel.

In general you have to know this 3* hotel only Costs about 400/500eur per person per week including halfboard. So for that price you shouldn't be to demanding and for that reason I would rate this hotel 6,5/10.
As the staff does not speak english very well they can not deliver the service and hospitality, which is a pitty because most if them are willing to help, but don't understand it. Also for the location towards the ski area this hotel is advisable if you dont look for any luxury but just a room.
